Tries: Tate 2, Pratt Goals: Sinfield

Hull FC (10) 10

Tries: Martin 2 Goals: Hardaker

Wakefield Trinity fought to a hard-fought Super League win over injury-hit Hull FC.

The groups entered level at the break with Lewis Martin's double for the away side matched by ratings by Will Tate and Oliver Pratt.

Tate's 2nd put the hosts in front for the first time after team-mate Jack Sinfield had seen a try eliminated for obstruction.

The Black and Whites did not threaten the Trinity try-line thereafter and have now lost their last 3 Super League video games this season, having won the opener versus Bradford Bulls.

Wakefield made it two wins and two defeats for the project.

Tate shines as Hull's battles continue

Hull FC had full-back Will Pryce eliminated for the season recently, Liam Knight went back to Australia at the weekend after being allowed to leave on thoughtful premises and it has actually been reported that back-rower Jed Cartwright could now be out for five months with a hamstring injury.

In an even begin Martin got the visitors on the scoreboard with a try on the left edge before Tate crossed for his very first.

Ill-discipline from Trinity skipper Mike McMeeken gave Hull FC good field position and Martin dotted down in similar style for his 2nd try.

It appeared like that would be enough for the away side to lead at the break however Davy Litten failed to handle a high kick on the last play of the half and Pratt took the loose ball up to send the groups in level.

Sinfield had a very first score for his brand-new side dismissed for a blockage but Tate quickly crossed for what proved to be the winning score after fast hands from Corey Hall put him over in the corner.

There was still over 20 minutes to play but Hull hardly even crossed the halfway line not to mention put pressure on the home try-line.

Wakefield face Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup next Friday, while Hull FC also deal with a Super League opponent when they take a trip to Leigh a week on Saturday.
